Mr. Berbiglia has functioned as an Associate Professor at Lawrence Technological University where he taught a class titled “Electrical Design and Construction”. This is always enjoyable because it lets John share his experience with young Architects and Engineers.
A solid background of experience in the design of electrical systems has qualified Mr. Berbiglia as an industry expert related to the design and layout of high and intermediate voltage distribution systems, low voltage control systems, interior and exterior lighting design, fire-security-communications systems, security systems, economic analysis and specification writing for the electrical systems of commercial, institutional and industrial buildings.
As President of Berbiglia Associates, Inc., Mr. Berbiglia responsibilities include being a liaison with clients, establishing company direction, setting engineering and quality standards and interfacing with the engineering staff. His responsibilities also include establishing design concepts, and making sure that established design, time and budget criteria are met. |

Mr. Kurt Hessenbruch, P. E., LEED AP, Mechanical Department Head
Mr. Hessenbruch received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. Mr. Hessenbruch is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Michigan and maintains an NCEES Record for reciprocity in participating states. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). | |

Mr. Hessenbruch has experience in heating, ventilating and air conditioning, plumbing, process piping, process exhaust, controls and fire protection design for a variety of project types in the industrial, commercial, governmental and institutional market sectors. His background allows him to have a unique perspective in the design and construction of mechanical systems for projects of all sizes, both new construction and renovation/retrofit. He works closely with owners and clients to determine the most cost effective means of meeting the project performance requirements, schedule, and budget criteria.
As Mechanical Engineering Department Head, Mr. Hessenbruch is responsible for mechanical and plumbing design from initial concept through construction documents while ensuring that project coordination takes place with architectural, structural, civil and electrical trades. He acts as the key mechanical liaison between the client and the engineering support staff.
